Timelapse photography is where you take a sequence of stills photos over a period of minutes, hours or days and compress them into a 24 frame per second video of only a few seconds or minutes in length. This technique allows you to see a slowly changing scene at a much faster pace.
Timelapse videos are relatively easy to shoot with your camera, you simply take a few hundred photos, one after another. Some cameras have an Intervalometer (a way of shoot many shots the same time apart) and some need to purchase a separate Interval Timer. To get a stunning, seamless timelapse video, spending hours behind the camera is only the first part, combining them in software later, possibly with music and titles, is the key second part of the process.
Learn key camera techniques
Through Dave’s examples of his own Timelapse photography, you will learn how to research and identify special locations that are likely to result in great Time lapse videos. You will also learn the professional photographer’s tips and techniques on how to set the camera up to ensure you get properly exposed sequences.
Learn great post processing tips in the computer
No great Timelapse video is complete without a little bit of post-processing in the computer afterwards. In this unique workshop you will learn key techniques when creating and manipulating Timelapse shots. You will also learn important tips for further embellishment of your Timelapse video by using titles and music to create a fully formed finished movie.
