Take the Photography Training Experience of a lifetime!
Canon, the Dubliner Magazine and the Institute of Photography are teaming up to offer you the photography training experience of a lifetime! Over a single weekend you can learn all the tips and tricks that will help turn your pictures into wow shots every time.
On Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th August, four training sessions will take place in the Sugar Club on Lower Leeson Street, Dublin 2, right at the corner of Leeson St and Stephen's Green.
 These great photography courses, which are open to owners of any kind or make of digital camera, are as follows:
Travel and Holidays
Session 1: Saturday 28th August 9am - 1pm
People and Portraits
Session 2: Saturday 28th August 2pm - 6pm
Landscapes and Architecture
Session 3: Sunday 29th August 9am - 1pm
Animals and Nature
Session 4: Sunday 29th August 2pm - 6pm
Each of the training sessions will be discounted by 50% for Dubliner readers and will cost €50 instead of the regular price of €100. Further discounts are available depending on the number of sessions you wish to attend. Each of the sessions also includes a special one hour field trip where you will be able to put your new found techniques into practice.
Dave McKane of the Institute of Photography, who has been teaching photography for over 25 years, will show you how your camera works and the special techniques that help turn your photos into wow shots.’. He will also accompany you on the field trip to help guide you through the photography process.
After the field trip you will return to base to learn more about how to edit your photos and squeeze extra quality out of each of your shots. Dave’s photos can be viewed at www.flickr. com/davemckane

Learn to photograph people better and shoot truer portraits
Saturday 28th of August, 2pm-6pm
Young, old, small, big, adorable, cheeky, beautiful, distinctive, moving. This is what makes people an inexhaustible source of photo inspiration. How can you ensure that children look as natural as possible? Which approach produces the best portraits? You’ll get more out of your camera and the person in front of your lens with the following tips and tricks you learn in this special photo course. |

 LANDSCAPES AND ARCHITECTURE
Shoot the most beautiful landscape and architectural photographs
Sunday 29th of August, 9am-1pm
A museum that, from the outside, is a work of art in itself. Rugged Mountain ranges with impressive valleys. Or a stately square in a metropolis. You want to record these impressions in a photograph. Even so, the result may be disappointing sometimes. With the tips and tricks from this course you can improve both the quality and artistic content of your photographs. |

 ANIMALS AND NATURE
Discover the essence of nature photography
Sunday 29th of August, 2pm-6pm
A Sunday afternoon stroll in the woods. A day at the zoo. Spring awakening. A spectacular safari. The natural world is an inexhaustible source of inspiration. In this course, we introduce you to the basics of animals and nature photography. Practical tips and creative suggestions for having even more fun with your camera while out and about. From the African savannah to your own back garden. |
