FAQ
Q. What's the difference between the Introductory and Intermediate Sessions?
A. The session AN INTRODUCTION TO CANON DIGITAL SLRs is aimed at those who have just bought their first digital SLR and who have been mainly using their EOS Digital SLR in Auto Mode. The course will concentrate on the use of the Basic Zones; Portrait Mode, Landscape and Programme Mode etc. PLEASE NOTE: 7D, 6D and 5D Mark II/III cameras do not have Basic Zones, these cameras assume that you will tell them what to do by choosing the correct settings. It is not recommended that owners of these cameras should choose this Introductory Session.
The session AN INTERMEDIATE GUIDE TO CANON DIGITAL SLRs is for those who are on their second Digital SLR and who want to start taking more control of their camera. This session will concentrate on the use of Av and Tv modes along with Programme Mode. Attendees will also learn specific shutter speeds and apertures which will be most useful in their day-to-day photography. THIS COURSE IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THOSE NEW TO DIGITAL SLR PHOTOGRAPHY. Q. I have sent my receipt to claim for my CashBack on my D-SLR.
How will I gain access without a receipt?
A. Before you claim for your CashBack, please make a photocopy of the receipt. Photocopies will be accepted on the day if you have claimed for your CashBack. If you did not make a photocopy and have not received your receipt back before the training day, please bring your Voucher Card as proof of purchase. The Voucher Card or photocopied receipt will be sufficient as Canon have a record of those customers who have claimed for the CashBack promotion. Q. What if I cannot attend the course I've registered for?
A. The training room size and the number of staff hired to facilitate the free training is based on the numbers registered. Due to this commitment re-registration is not possible for any future course. We strongly encourage you to mark your diary for the training day so that you don't accidentally schedule a conflicting event later on. Q. I can't make the next available date, will there be further training?
A. The currently advertised dates are the only ones on offer at the moment.
Q. It's been a couple of days and I haven't received my confirmation email
A. The confirmation email will come from canonfreetraining@iop.ie, PLEASE ADD THIS EMAIL ADDRESS TO YOUR ADDRESS BOOK to make sure it gets to you. If your confirmation email has not arrived into your inbox please regularly check your junk mail or spam filter.
